2013 YAVUZ GULERCE RACE

WE COMMEMORATE YAVUZ GULERCE, THE FOUNDER OF GULERCE STABLEMATE.
VELI CAN KIZI won the Yavuz Gülerce Race.

Nevzat Yardımcı‘s filly VELI CAN KIZI (Gobakbey – Fedlacan / Kanatlı.3), won the Yavuz Gülerce Race (KV-8/DHÖ) organized in Istanbul Veliefendi Hippodrome on Friday October 11th, with the jockey Halis Karataş. Started it’s career with a conditional race in Istanbul Veliefendi Hippodrome on May 1st , VELI CAN KIZI came first for the 6th time in it’s 10th race. It’s last championship was gained in 1400 meters turf racecourse Babıali Race (KV-6) on August 18th with the jockey Selim Kaya.

Three-year-old nine Arabian foals participated to the 1600 meters turf racecourse. TULBARKAN (Dayıbey-Çıtır/Ünsal.2) came second, BABUR (Caş-Burçin/Alkuruş.13) came third and ALISIRIN OGLU (Eşkbar-Benze Kızı/Haberbatur) came fourth on the race which the award was 68.000 TL. VELI CAN KIZI completed the race in 1.46.70 and the differences were 2 heights-2heights-neck.


Nurbiye Gülerce gave the cup and flowers to Ramazan Kaya, the representative of the horse owner. Serdar Adalı, the President of Jockey Club of Turkey; Dr. Ender Aydıner, Treasurer Member of Jockey Club of Turkey; Mehmet Mircan Fırat and Mustafa Özdemir, Members of Board of High Stewards and Cahit Aybek, Akgün Midillili, Sadettin Sükan, Nusret Balkaroğlu, Yaman Zingal, Gülnur Gülerce, İnci Özdemir, H. Turgut Alakuş, founding members of Jockey Club of Turkey, attented the cup ceremony with other guests.

                      YAVUZ GÜLERCE
 
Yavuz Gülerce, was born on 18th of March 1938, in Eskişehir. After graduating from primary school he started his early career of commercial. In 1992 he started race horse breeding in Izmir, Yeni Foca and founded Gulerce Stud Farm after working on different sectors as automotive, construction, foreign currency trade and tourism. His breeders Heart to Heart, Arsenik, Selhan and Tamada has run successfully. Yavuzhan, Caş, Bilgin, Demirkazık, Yelhan, Magrip, Teselli and Koşanefe gained multiple cups during their careers. We commemorate Yavuz Gülerce once more with mercy and respect, who provided many contributions to the Turkish Arabian Horse Breeding.
